What is Polished Concrete?

Polished concrete is a multi-step procedure in which a concrete surface is mechanically ground, honed, and polished using bonded abrasives to cut the surface of a concrete floor.  The surface is refined with each cut to achieve a specific level of sheen.

POLISH LEVELS

LEVEL 1

MATTE POLISH

Compared to other finishes, a matte finish minimizes the reflection of light and effectively brings out the natural tones present in concrete surfaces.

LEVEL 2

LOW SHEEN

Provides an elegant look similar to a matte finish, complemented by a slight shine that imparts a degree of luminosity.

LEVEL 3

MEDIUM SHEEN

Signifies a higher intensity of light, making it particularly appealing to the majority of our clients as it enhances the reflection of colors from nearby objects.

LEVEL 4

HIGH GLOSS

Results in a significant level of shine. Objects being reflected appear sharp and crisp, exhibiting a clarity comparable to that of a mirror.
